Grapple Teens is our foundational, beginner-friendly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program designed for teens ages 13–15 who want to build confidence, learn practical self-defense, and develop strong technical skills in a safe and structured environment.
The class is highly structured, methodical, noncompetitive, and collaborative. It is intentionally designed for students of all fitness and experience levels who want to develop a solid foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while strengthening teamwork, discipline, focus, and respect. The goal of this class is to give teenage students the confidence and practical skills needed to remain safe and protect themselves against aggressive opponents in real-life threatening situations. Students also develop the technical skills needed to train effectively with more knowledgeable Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in higher-level classes.
In this class, students will learn essential Jiu-Jitsu positions, escapes, controls, guard passes, attack counters, grips, submissions, takedowns, and how to use their body weight, leverage, timing, and positioning most effectively against both smaller and larger opponents.
Upon successfully completing this program, students will have developed a strong foundation in practical self-defense, a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and the technical skills needed to progress into more advanced Jiu-Jitsu classes.
